Like I always do I took a beta subscription to ThinkDesk when it started. Switching to Impulse was a good moment to look into its current shape.
ThinkDesk is still offered in the Store. It mentions 4 tools: multiplicity, keepsafe, thinksync and SecureProcess, supports 32-bits Windows 2000 Pro and 32-bits Windows XP (but no Vista) and lists for $69,95.
In Impulse the ThinkDesk applications should show up under My Tools. For my only two do, keepsafe and Multiplicity Professional (which isn't even part of ThinkDesk, although my ThinkDesk subscription gave me a discount on it). Both are also sold seperately in the Store, and do support Vista.
The same in this forum. There is a My Tools forum, but it idoesn't even have a moderator assigned to it. It has two subfora, one for keepsafe and one for multiplicity, both active and with a moderator.
My conclusion would be that ThinkDesk is dead, and that in effect I paid $69,95 for a $29,95 piece of software (keepsafe) which I don't even use at the moment. Or are there any concrete plans (with timetables) to revive this suite?
